According to Apple Mac Pro Lives held last week, the whole world knows that new mac pro will be launched within years. They also revealed that the new Mac Pro will be in modular design, even though the development of it just started and the finished product is going to be released at least a year later. We don’t know how it will look like and what it will feature until it is finished. Anyway, you just cannot stop others from making their own imaginations. Here, you will see how CURVED/labs think the new Mac Pro will be. Designers at the lab made a conceptual design including a simple box just like Mac mini and an Apple-branded display.
Titled Modular – in every detail, the CURVED/labs provides us with an amination video which describes the modular design in detail. They even listed the specifications of the new Mac Pro, which looks just like a real model.
From the pictures, we can see the side doors used to swivel or rotate to open, 2 x slots for full-size graphics cards, slots for adding and exchanging hard disks, SSD drives, processor, and memory. Slots are injected in the model so that various components can be added to the Mac, making it more powerful and productive.
In the front of the design, it features ventilation holes on the top so that hot air produced during the processing will be released, power on/off button which is just like a touch-ID button is put on the front, touch bar which is used to display information of internal components, microphone and headphones jacks which is also essential for a Mac, and SD card ports. All of these components will provide easier access to users.
When we take a look at the back, we can see ports like USB-C, USB, FireWire, LAN, and HDMI. What is more, there is also a unlock button on the back, much similar to the button on Mac Pro. This button can unlock the side doors so that components can be exchanged or added.
Except the Mac Mini style box, the CURVED/labs introduced a new Cinema Display, which is also mentioned in the Mac Pro Lives. Currently, the company from Cupertino offers 4K displays by LG, and Apple will bring back the display product line. The labs made it a 27-inch based on the retina displays design in MacBooks. The display will be with narrow edges. There are also multiple USB-accessories at the back of the display to increase its connectivity and productivity.
Apple is now undergoing a “completely rethinking” process of the Mac Pro, which will take “longer than this year”. Whatever, Apple dose care about the “most demanding pro customers”. All we have to do is waiting for the product.
